I got bit by a dog. That one scared me. I almost threw it off of the uncompleted building we were on but something told me not to, so I didn’t. :) My companion sacked it from that place. I wasn’t even messing with it, too much. I just raised its lip so I could see its teeth, so yea--it was probably my fault, but still! Now I can say I got bit by a dog. Don’t worry, no rabies so :)
Also, last week we baptized a man named John Sackey. He is a super cool person who is in a wheelchair and I love him. The baptism was kind of a problem because I didn’t fill the font enough. We planned it so he would sit down and I didn’t want to drowned him, so I made it low but it was too low. My companion had to go in and hold his knees so all his body was covered, but it was still amazing!
Also, on Monday evening we went to Kaneshie. Those of you keeping track, that’s where I was trained! So, I went back home! It was amazing, plus one of my good friends, Elder Stein is serving there so that was wonderful to see him again. We went there because my companion is serving in the Mozambique Mission, so he is going to the Brazil MTC. He is waiting for his visa and that is why we went to the area office. We sat there for an hour before the guy we were supposed to meet came. Then we waited another hour to be attended to and then another 2 hours because he took the other people first. When he came back to us, he told us we would have to go and come back on Thursday because some reasons…. and so I was like well flip! That kind of sucked but I wasn’t too mad because I don’t like being too mad. So, we left. On Thursday, we didn’t go because we didn’t have the right records. We were going to go again tonight but instead we left Sunday evening to Kaneshie again (another wonderful time with Elder Stein) and then off to the area office again. This time we were able to do everything on Monday, but we had to go out of the mission area. *I felt guilty, then thought it was okay. My companion had to go into the embassy alone and I was left on the street alone in the middle of Ghana. A part that I didn’t know so it was pretty scary---still outside the Mission. I felt terrible, but everything is okay. My companion and I just got back and came straight to the cafe :)
One really awesome thing that my district members are doing is in every lesson we teach we planned to use the Book of Mormon in every lesson. It is super easy to use the bible here. So, we planned to use the Book of Mormon and really focus on that. I have loved it and I will do it the rest of my Mission and it is so sweet. The Book of Mormon is my favorite thing ever! I’ve been sharing with almost everyone the scripture 2nd Nephi 28:3-4 (hope that’s right) but I share that with them to really help them understand that they should not believe us, but they need God to tell them the right way to go! All in all the Mission is sweet and I’m alive and working :)
