Temple Trip
Let’s go: 3--We had a
temple trip. Whooooo. This is the story. We were taking the recent converts in the Ward
and Branch and Pamela (the one we just had enter that amazing covenant of
baptism). We had planned to go and so we
did everything to set that up. Pamela
works in Accra and I’m in Winneba so the interview had to be done over the
phone, which we did! Yay! She passed but,
on Sunday after the confirmation the internet was slow. We didn’t get the baptismal record in that
day so she didn’t have a record number so we couldn’t get her a temple
recommend. Nooooooooooo! That was sad but she still came to the temple.
Her testimony is truly in the church and
not in the blessing so that was sweet! She didn’t go in the Temple but she was
able to see her family that day. Her
family was able to go in, so that was sweet for them, too!
2--My new companion is Elder Martin. He is from Utah and is African American. He is really cool though. He likes to talk to
people and I’m shy so we work out well. I’m excited for the transfer
1--Elder Soares. So,
he came and we met with him on Monday. He
is sweet he is definitely learning fast how to be an apostle. He truly is called of god and truly that means
the church is true :)
It was a great week.
As for the Book of Mormon this week, I like alma 44:4. It’s amazing that
when we follow God he is with us when we don’t he leaves us. We all know this but sometimes we forget and
go contrary to the commandments. We even
think we need to in order to survive, but that cannot be true. If that is true
then the Book of Mormon is false for it states that in All commandments God
will prepare a way to follow them! I’d say let us remember the lilies of the field.
Do they not follow the commandments of God? THEY DO, and therefore they
grow because they follow the commandments and all their needs are met!
Truly God loves us and desires our salvation.
LOVE YOU ALL!
-Elder Ellsworth
