1/23/2017

This week was hard papa (they say papa to mean a lot). I got transferred to literally the largest area ever! OK, not really, but I don’t like biking three miles on a dirt road with cars that pick up dirt so you’re white shirt becomes a dirt shirt, ya know? But I’ll go where I’m called because that is where I’m needed or that’s what I need.

We had a baptism this week. Her name is Magdalen and I’ve never met her but Elder Dini (my new companion) and Elder Beck (my friend from the MTC) taught her well. So it was a really cool experience we didn't take a picture with her for some reason. I’m not sure why, but my companion knows and so I trust him.

I had a very hard week I wanted to talk to mom. I thought Spencer was home and I missed everyone but he gets home tomorrow, so I can miss everyone this week as well. Two things really helped me. The first is prayer. Even though I can’t talk to mom every day I can talk with my Heavenly Father and he listens, too. The funny thing is, they both give me the same joy! So prayer is awesome. The second is D&C 122 and that helped me to "man up". I love the atonement. Even when we’re hungry, Christ knows that trial as well. Literally everything he went through is so we wouldn’t be alone :)

This area is hard but it’s good to help me grow. No comfort in a growth zone.

I hope everything is good back home I really love hearing from everyone!

No pictures this week--new cafe I have no idea how it works :)

I love you all and have a good week
