3/5/18

I got a really big blister on my finger and then my companion had an idea to stick it in hydrogen peroxide and I was smart and did it..... THAT HURT!!!! Don’t ever put hydrogen peroxide on your open wounds. It hurts a lot! I kind of wish we took a video of it because I was jumping and screaming and it would have been funny to watch. I told my companion to punch my arm because it hurt so bad. That was not fun.

Our week went really well. We started teaching a man named jean-Claude. He only speaks French and many of you may know I took 2 years of French in high school..... so naturally all I remember is how to say “it’s windy outside” so I kept quiet. He is a cool guy. He will most likely be baptized in 2 weeks or so because he wants to be and will be ready. Also, we started teaching a 15-year-old girl named Abigale and we gave her a Book of Mormon to read and she read Alma chapter 28 and pretty much gave a talk and even said how we could liken it to ourselves. I was pretty happy to start teaching her :) The people here are wonderful!

Also, yesterday we had a baptism for Veronica and I performed that ordinance (is that how I’m supposed to say I baptized her?) anyway, she is a big woman so I was pretty scared, but thankfully as missionaries we work out for 30 minutes each morning so that obedience combined with a sincere prayer led to a successful baptism (wow I speak like a Ghanaian).

We took one of our investigators to church, meaning we biked to his home, then walked him to church and we took him around and he loved it. While walking him home I asked what it was like and he said "it felt like walking into God’s house'' so that was a wonderful experience.

Overall the week was great and I love Ghana. I’m sad because of my blistered hand. I won’t be able to eat Fufu this week so that will be a big blow to my moral :( but the work goes on!

Love you all and keep reading the scriptures
