This week was pretty cool. I really don’t remember anything big happening. Just wake up, work out, go out. But it was a good week of learning. In the Book of Mormon, I read Jacob ch2 verse 9 and it just helped me to forgive a lot of people who I have had grudges with before so that was a nice day :)

Other than that, on Tuesday we went back to my first area so we could have a Multi Zone Mission Conference and that was a good place to be. I loved learning from President and everyone. Because the Mission is doing so well Satan has tried hard to stop the work. There has been a lot more fighting in the Mission and so our instruction was on 2 talks: The Merciful Shall Obtain Mercy by Elder Uchtdorf and None Shall Offend Them by Elder Bednar. Great talks and again helped me to be forgiving :)

I went on an exchange with some members of the district to do baptismal interviews for them and we had about 5 interviews, so it was a long day, but they were sweet candidates.

A big thing this week was my companion the 100% Navajo Indian and he taught me how to make Indian fry bread which is the best dinner on earth because its butter and powdered sugar on bread that is fried. The best! It was a blessing I found powdered sugar here, but now I will make a ton of fry bread. Thanks to dad for introducing it to me also with that I made a corn dog. (only it’s not really because it’s not corn bread, but it still tasted good, so I’m not complaining.

Emergency transfers are really fun!!! Kind of :) I still feel lost but I’ve been transferred to Winneba. We are covering 2 units the Ansaful 1st ward and the Ansaful 2nd Branch. They are nice comfy wards with a small number of active members but I’m excited to be here and serving here. The area in the past hasn’t been the most fruitful area but I’m still excited to serve here and try and establish the church here in this area :)

My new companions are Elder Keith (he is from Centerville, Utah and 100% Navajo or (Lamanite)) and also Elder Belley (he is from Ghana but 100% Ghanaian). They are really just great.

This week we got the call on Monday at 8 in the evening that we needed to pack our bags and be at the mission home in 12 hours. So, on Tuesday at 5 in the morning Elder Alston and I headed to the main road to get a tro to Accra. That was fun and the tro was funny and he only took us to Nswam. Then made us get in a different tro that broke down after 2 minutes. I had all my stuff in 2 heavy suitcases so we had to wait on the side of the road for another tro to pick us. That took a while but it’s okay because I’m still alive so the lord does bless his children:). My shirt was super dirty though :)

I made in time for breakfast so I got toast with real butter! Call me a happy teenager (I’m still 19)! We got our stuff and headed out in a taxi to get to our apartment (that cost me 110 cedi (sorry Dad. I was tired and weak-- forgive me) That was all fun and we got home safe so that’s all that really matters :)

I’m still alive and kicking and doing the mission stuff. I still can’t spell but I’m doing my best with spelling.

I don’t remember the last time I wrote, but Asamankese now has a super market so a bunch of rich people go there and it’s kind of uncomfortable to be in there but I’m surviving :)

This week we did stuff--actually it was pretty normal. Not much funny stuff happened, but we did find this oasis out in BUSH! It is pretty cool. We were proselyting and teaching these people out there and they were like come look at this cool beach and I was like, what? We are like as far inland as you can go! But, turns out it was like Etiwanda falls, but cooler because it’s in Africa and the pool is bigger.

Other than that, we are just trying to get our baptismal candidates ready for baptism and trying to work well with the ward.

I love Ghana and I love the people and I love being on a mission.

I’ll make sure to remember what I did this week for next week :)

I played Pokemon Snap this week

The hidden Oasis
this anointing oil is for robbing!!! Don't buy it-it's for breaking the law!
