5/28/18

I have some time I didn’t think I would so I’ll write a weekly :)

This week was fun we went out and did Missionary stuff.

We were able to teach some cool people.  One of them is a traveling Pastor and he was really excited to hear from us.  He said he has been looking for a place that had a restoration happen, so hopefully he progresses.

Yeah, it’s pretty much the same thing every week…

Sorry I’m a boring but that’s the week.  We did more but you know :)

Look I’m a ghost!

Okay there’s a lot this week.
1.        Elder Soares
2.       New Companion
3.       Temple Trip

Let’s go:  3--We had a temple trip.  Whooooo. This is the story.  We were taking the recent converts in the Ward and Branch and Pamela (the one we just had enter that amazing covenant of baptism).  We had planned to go and so we did everything to set that up.  Pamela works in Accra and I’m in Winneba so the interview had to be done over the phone, which we did! Yay!  She passed but, on Sunday after the confirmation the internet was slow.  We didn’t get the baptismal record in that day so she didn’t have a record number so we couldn’t get her a temple recommend.  Nooooooooooo!  That was sad but she still came to the temple.  Her testimony is truly in the church and not in the blessing so that was sweet! She didn’t go in the Temple but she was able to see her family that day.  Her family was able to go in, so that was sweet for them, too!

2--My new companion is Elder Martin.  He is from Utah and is African American.  He is really cool though. He likes to talk to people and I’m shy so we work out well. I’m excited for the transfer

1--Elder Soares.  So, he came and we met with him on Monday.  He is sweet he is definitely learning fast how to be an apostle.  He truly is called of god and truly that means the church is true :)

It was a great week.  As for the Book of Mormon this week, I like alma 44:4. It’s amazing that when we follow God he is with us when we don’t he leaves us.  We all know this but sometimes we forget and go contrary to the commandments.  We even think we need to in order to survive, but that cannot be true. If that is true then the Book of Mormon is false for it states that in All commandments God will prepare a way to follow them! I’d say let us remember the lilies of the field. Do they not follow the commandments of God? THEY DO, and therefore they grow because they follow the commandments and all their needs are met!

Truly God loves us and desires our salvation.

LOVE YOU ALL!

5/7/18

This week was good--we did stuff.

My companion wasn’t feeling the best but we still went out and worked.  He’s what I think people call a trooper. :)

We did have a good week.  We found out that there is an area in our area that has all the requirements to become a group.  It’s a pretty cool place and so if it is a group, I’d say within a month it would become a Branch. We will leave that to the prayerful consideration of the Bishop for now. :)

We were able to baptize a girl named Pamela this week.  She is awesome! She has truly started to put off the natural man and it’s so refreshing to see the change that takes place in the countenance of a person when they start following God’s commandments. We shared so many scriptures with her and I feel like she’s more converted to the blessings than the restoration but she will stay away from disobedience.  She knows that obeying God will bring miracles.  She is a true convert to God and it’s great to see.
Overall a great week.

Elder Soares is coming to my mission on the 21st so that’s exciting!

love you all
